Class Descriptions

Bible Literacy

This class will focus on the entirety of scripture in regards to theological and doctrinal truth. We will evaluate scriptural layout, timelines, literary devices, and historical and cultural contexts. This class is designed to give the full picture of the Biblical narrative through surveying all the books of the Bible while establishing theological viewpoints. These viewpoints will equip us to know God and fulfill His callings upon our life.

Spiritual Activation

With a focus on the Holy Spirit’s work within the Biblical narrative, this class will equip us to comprehend and participate with the Spirit’s current work. An emphasis on instructing and training in regards to spiritual gifts in order to edify the body will be a focus point. Through studying the Holy Spirit’s role throughout Scripture, we will apply the principles shown in both the Old and New Testament in order to cultivate a deeper understanding and relationship with the Holy Spirit. This deeper understanding and relationship with the Holy Spirit will empower us to walk in the destiny He has for us.

Gospel of John

The Gospel of John presents a unique look at the life of Jesus. We will evaluate and be trained in specific Gospel timelines, parallel Gospel narratives, relational dynamics within the Godhead, and “afterlife” concepts. This class is designed to grow our understanding of Christ and His work shown in the Gospels, as well as His current work within the Church. Studying the life, and current work of Christ, will equip us to imitate Him as we Love God and others through fulfilling the Great Commission.

Book of Psalms

This class will explore the foundational truths found in the poetry of Psalms. With a focus on poetic and figurative context and interpretation, prophetic, scriptural truth, and historical timelines will further our knowledge and understanding of the greatness of God. We will focus on how humanity relates to God, and how God chooses to relate to humanity. We will discover the value of intimately relating to God which in turn empowers us to fulfill our calling.

Practical Ministry Training

This class will focus on the function and purpose of communication and leadership that promote and enable the body of Christ to fulfill the Great Commission. We will explore the modalities of communication and refine our skills with the purpose of communicating the Gospel with clarity. We will examine leadership as defined by the Word of God and apply these principles to the church today. We will plan ministry events and practice the skills learned in class through activation.
